Alimentaria: Hungarian Food Products Debut in Barcelona
After a longer break, the Agricultural Marketing Centre will once again participate with a community stand at the international Alimentaria food industry exhibition in Barcelona, held between March 23–26, 2026. This prestigious professional event provides an excellent opportunity for Hungarian food industry companies to showcase their products in an international environment and establish new business connections.
A total of nine exhibitors will be წარმოდ at the 108-square-meter Hungarian community stand, representing the domestic food industry with a wide range of products. Visitors will be able to discover extruded breads, meat products, mushroom-based items, various snacks, as well as gluten-free oat products. The Hungarian Food Business Program will also participate with an individual presence, specifically supporting the international market expansion of Hungarian food products. The Hungarian stand was visited by György Habsburg, Hungary’s ambassador to Spain.
Alimentaria is one of Europe’s most significant food industry exhibitions, where global trends, innovations, and business opportunities converge. Hungary’s participation contributes to strengthening the presence of its products on international markets, particularly in the Mediterranean region.
In recent years, Hungarian–Spanish food industry and trade relations have developed steadily. Spain is an important export market for Hungarian agricultural and food products, while cooperation between the two countries is increasingly shifting toward high value-added and innovative products. International exhibitions such as Alimentaria play a key role in strengthening bilateral business relations, establishing new partnerships, and expanding market opportunities.
The participation of the Agricultural Marketing Centre in the exhibition aligns well with its strategic objective of making Hungarian food industry products more widely known and recognized on the international market.
